Women's Ministry

Women's ministry at Grace Bible Church comes in two basic forms, the planned, announced and programmed type and the quiet behind the scenes ministries that develop, disciple, and grow women in the faith.

Women's Bible Study

The Women's Bible Study meets during the school year and is open to any woman wishing to study the Word. It is usually one evening a week and has a specific topic that runs eight to twelve weeks. Topics can be a book of the bible, a topical book, or a DVD study from a well known women's speaker. It is a good time for women to deepen, or start, their friendships with each other around the study of God's word.

Women's Retreat

The Women's Retreat gives the women of Grace Bible Church a chance to get away together, study, sing, and interact in crafts, boating trips or shopping at local stores. For the last several years the retreat has been held in a beautiful, wooded area that offers a peaceful, natural environment to enjoy God's word and world. This is an informal time with a speaker to learn and grow.

One on One Discipleship Meetings

Several of the leaders from the Women's Ministry meet with other women for a more intense and personal study of God's word. These meetings are a one on one Discipleship time in the model of Paul and Barnabas and are on a need and desire basis.

Women's Mentorship

Another informal "program" is a desire from the Women's Ministry leadership to see young women mentored in the faith and practical living. As a church that is active in bringing new Christians into our fellowship it sometimes becomes necessary to give guidance to young women who have no background or are confused on how to live as a believer. These women need someone to talk to and to learn from and at Grace we feel the bible calls us to be there for them. This is also on an as needed basis and may not always be active.
